RADIO REGEN EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN RADIO PRODUCTION - Evening Class
What’s the course about?
The course teaches a variety of radio skills, including how to put together a report, plan a production, write a script and interview guests. You could even get your work broadcast. If you have been out of work and want to brush up your skills this is perfect for you. If you are a graduate this provides excellent hands-on training with experienced industry level trainers.

Course Includes
Digital sound editing Use of the Minidisk player
Interview and questioning skills Research for Radio
Vox popping Mic techniques
Presentation Operating a studio
Making small features Putting a show together
News writing an introduction Scriptwriting for radio
These elements are delivered via practical workshops, group work and informal lectures. Students are assessed on a portfolio of evidence, coursework and audio files.

We have one intake per year.
Where is the course held?
Radio Regen is at 12 Hilton Street Manchester M1 1JF, and is situated in the Northern Quarter between Oldham St and Stevenson Square.
How much will the course cost me?
Finance towards fees may be availableif you meet the right criteria: eg. Receiving income support, JSA etc, or have a low income. Please ring MANCAT Guidance 0161 953 5995 for information on fee remission.
The fee for employed persons is set by MANCAT and is £888 plus exam fees.
Do I need any qualifications to do this course?
No you don’t; there are no formal entry requirements but students must have an interest in radio and be motivated to learn and study and committed to completing a one year course.
Which qualification will I be awarded?
On successful completion of the course, students will be awarded Level 2 NCFE Extended Diploma in Radio Production.
