Radio Regen Courses Overview - A Hands on Radio Education!

Radio Regen offers three distinct levels of training - a short course for new volunteers to community stations, a 10-week introduction course for the unemployed. All are registered by The Manchester College.

Skills for Community Radio

Aimed at volunteers joining a community radio station for the first time, Skills for Community Radio is a new accredited course developed by Radio Regen. It gives newcomers the technical and research skills to produce their own radio shows as well as an entry-level qualification.

Radio Production Skills

A 10 to 12 week course teaching a wide variety of radio skills - aimed particularly at unemployed people, those excluded from traditional education and those returning to the education system after periods of caring for children or illness.

Foundation Degree

The aim of this course is to provide an educational foundation for a range of careers in the radio broadcast industry. It provides strong links with and work experience within the radio industry (both community and commercial sectors) and enables students to develop the personal skills and attitudes essential for success in working and academic life.
