Using popular art forms, Radio Regen's innovative Artransmit endeavoured to boost creativity in regeneration areas of Manchester with radio soap, performance,, poetry and rap workshops. |

Themed "MC as poet, MC as reporter”, the Beatslam project encouraged Manchester and Salford teenagers to use MCing to talk about their lives via a series of workshops at youth centres. |

Moss Side & Hulme FM gave a voice to this previously troubled urban area of Manchester aiming to promote "Unity in the Community" and dispel the "Gunchester" image. |

Remix the Streets gave over 150 Manchester teenagers an opportunity to produce their own radio shows - complete with interviews, jingles and features alongside tunes and MCing. |

More than 1,500 people took part in Radio Regen's Salford Project, which worked to ready the area to bid for full-time community radio licences. It created a pool of skilled volunteer broadcasters and enthused listeners neighbourhood by neighbourhood. |
